GATO³

Uña de Gato, Cat's Claw, takes its name from its curved thorns, which resemble a feline's claws. It grows in the tropical forests of the Peruvian Amazon, on vines that can reach 30 metres in height. In the traditional medicine of the Asháninka and Quechua peoples, it has been used for centuries for very specific states: resistant infections, joint pain, periods of deep exhaustion, long convalescences. Amazonian healers regard it as a plant of regeneration, not of emergency, but of rebuilding.

Western science has taken it seriously since the 1990s. Cat's Claw is now one of the best-documented Amazonian medicinal plants, with more than 300 studies referenced on PubMed. Its main active compounds, the oxindole alkaloids, the quinovic acid glycosides and the polyphenols, have been studied for their action on the immune system, inflammatory mechanisms and cellular repair.

What sets Cat's Claw apart from the other adaptogens in our range is its action on two levels at once. On the surface: support for the immune system and overall balance, through a modulation of NK (natural killer) cells and T lymphocytes. In depth: an action on chronic inflammatory markers, not the acute inflammation that is useful after effort, but the low-grade inflammation that settles silently in bodies under constant pressure and often precedes lasting imbalances.

That's why GATO³ is particularly relevant for three distinct profiles. Regular athletes, who accumulate joint and muscle micro-inflammation between sessions. People going through prolonged stress, whose immune axis is gradually weakened. And those coming out of a difficult period, illness, overwork, convalescence, seeking to rebuild a stable balance rather than artificially stimulate their energy.

GATO³ is not certified organic at the time of writing; the certification process with our partner growers in the Peruvian Amazon is underway. What we do guarantee: complete traceability of the plant, wild-harvested in untreated forest areas, and control analyses on every batch to check for the absence of contaminants. Transparency on this point seems more important to us than a label whose supply chain we could not yet guarantee to be robust.

The vine is harvested by hand, the inner bark separated from the wood, dried at low temperature and ground into concentrated powder. The capsules are HPMC vegetable capsules. The recommended dose is 3 capsules per day, in the morning or at midday, on a cure of at least 90 days.

The effects on overall balance and recovery appear gradually, generally from the 4th to the 6th week. It is a foundational plant, not a first-aid remedy. Its value is in the long term.
